San Fulgencio Men's Shed

Men’s Sheds are worldwide, and the one in the municipality of San Fulgencio is the first in Spain.

Amongst our other projects, we support and carry out projects for the community, and were recently visited and filmed by Bargain Loving Brits in The Sun.

Recently we created a raised garden for a young boy who has Cerebral Palsy, and wondered if you would support us and include our information on your radio shows, website etc

I have contacted Mason’s mother, who has given her agreement to print the attached photo of him.

Our current project is raising enough funds to buy a Defibrillator for use within the community.

WHAT IS A MEN’S SHED?

Men’s Shed is a larger version of the typical man’s shed in the garden – a place where a person feels at home and pursues practical interests with a high degree of autonomy. A Men’s Shed offers this to a group of such members where they share the tools and resources they need to work on projects of their own choosing, at their own pace and in a safe, friendly and inclusive venue. They are places of skill-sharing and informal learning, of individual pursuits and community projects, of purpose, achievement and social interaction. A place of leisure where members come together to work and undertake social activities. Whichever activities are pursued the essence of a Shed is the network of relationships between the members.

The San Fulgencio Men’s Shed is primarily for older retired people, who can utilise the tools and equipment available to teach, learn and use practical skills, providing challenge, problem solving, social interaction and support in a friendly and inclusive environment, which all assist in keeping us fitter both mentally and physically.

Due to legal and practical reasons, we are unable to undertake repair jobs from the general public. However, members can work on their own projects brought in from home.
